We've gathered the most common questions clients ask before booking. If you don't find what you're looking for here, reach out directly.
How much does a tattoo cost?
Pricing depends on the size, detail, and placement of your tattoo. Mini tattoos start at a lower price point, while larger custom pieces require more time and carry higher costs. We don't quote over the phone or email without seeing your design idea first. Book a consultation and we'll give you an accurate estimate based on exactly what you want.
Do I need to book a consultation before getting tattooed?
For custom designs and larger pieces, yes. The consultation lets us understand your vision, discuss placement, and estimate how long the work will take. For smaller flash designs or mini tattoos, you can sometimes book directly. Just give us a call to check availability.
How do I book an appointment?
Call us at +1 780-555-4412 or email [email protected]. Let us know what kind of tattoo you're interested in and any reference images you have. We'll get back to you within a day or two to schedule your consultation or session.
How long will my tattoo session take?
A mini tattoo might take 30 minutes to an hour. Medium pieces often run two to four hours. Large custom work can require multiple sessions spread across weeks or months. We'll give you a time estimate during your consultation so you know what to expect.
Does getting a tattoo hurt?
Yes, but the level varies. Bony areas like ribs, spine, and ankles tend to be more sensitive. Fleshier spots like the upper arm or thigh are generally easier to sit through. Most people describe it as a scratching or burning sensation. It's manageable, and our artists work at a pace that gives you breaks when needed.
Can you cover up an old tattoo I don't like anymore?
Cover-ups are one of our specialties. The process depends on the size, color, and darkness of your existing tattoo. Some pieces cover easily with the right design. Others might need a larger or darker image to fully conceal the original. Bring your tattoo in and we'll discuss what's possible.
What should I do to prepare for my appointment?
Get a good night's sleep. Eat a proper meal beforehand—low blood sugar makes sessions harder. Stay hydrated. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before your appointment since it thins your blood. Wear comfortable clothes that give easy access to the area being tattooed.
What's the aftercare process like?
We'll send you home with detailed aftercare instructions. Generally, you'll keep the bandage on for a few hours, then wash gently with unscented soap, pat dry, and apply a thin layer of healing ointment. Avoid submerging the tattoo in water, direct sunlight, and picking at any scabs. Healing typically takes two to three weeks.
Do you offer payment plans or accept credit cards?
We accept cash and major credit cards. For larger pieces that span multiple sessions, you pay for each session individually, which naturally spreads the cost. We don't offer formal financing, but we're happy to structure multi-session work in a way that works for your budget.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
Life happens. Just give us at least 48 hours notice so we can offer the slot to someone else. Last-minute cancellations or no-shows may require a deposit for rebooking. We try to be flexible, but our artists' time is valuable.
Do you do piercings as well?
We do. Piercing services are available at the studio. Contact us to ask about specific placement options and jewelry selection. All equipment is sterilized and single-use needles are standard.
Where are you located and when are you open?
We're at 10355 82 Ave NW in Edmonton. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. We're closed on weekends, so plan accordingly. Street parking is available nearby.
Can I bring my own design or reference images?
Absolutely. Many clients come in with Pinterest boards, sketches, photographs, or images they've saved. Our artists use these as starting points and work with you to adapt them into something that works as a tattoo. Some designs translate directly. Others need adjustment for size, placement, or skin tone.
What age do I need to be to get tattooed?
You must be 18 years old with valid government ID. No exceptions. We don't tattoo minors, even with parental consent.
